A free Christmas read: my holiday gift to you

A Summer Christmas by Berengaria Brown

It was very hot. Probably 100 degrees and not even 8 a.m. yet.
All up and down the street by the beach, the kids were playing with their new toys, watching and waiting for the fire truck. The fire truck that would bring Santa, and more wonderful gifts.
They wobbled up and down the street on their new bikes, their new inline skates, their new scooters, many watched by doting Dads who sat in lawn chairs, an ice-cold beer in their hand.
As soon as the fire truck’s siren sounded the men grabbed their kids off the road, and women and teenagers came out from the beach holiday cottages, the teens with new computer games in their hands, or music throbbing their ear buds. The women with babies or toddlers on their hips, or hastily wiping cooking ingredients from their hands.
The fire truck turned into the street, its siren screaming, but traveling at walking pace. On the back of the truck was Santa, his face sweating in his hot red suit, throwing candy and a gift to every child. Two firemen, in uniform, walked behind the truck handing out little packets of candy and presents to the mothers of small children.
No child was overlooked. Every one had a special nod or smile from The Man himself.
And the joy in their eyes was more than adequate repayment for giving up a holiday to swelter in a hot costume, instead of sitting on the beach and hoping for a cooling breeze off the ocean.
It was such a different sight and experience from snow, and a hot fire, and kids with new toboggans or indoor games. But the Christmas spirit was identical. Peace on earth, and good will to all people everywhere.

Happy Holidays everyone

A short hot holiday read MM

To see him is to love him MM PG13

“Noticing Nigel” Blurb:
Matthew is singing in a choir for a special Christmas presentation of the oratorio, “Messiah” by Handel. He’s a tenor soloist. But his eyes are on one of the basses, Nigel, a deliciously muscular and well-built man with sparkling eyes and golden-brown hair.
Matthew takes his courage in both hands at the full-dress rehearsal, and invites Nigel out to lunch, then to dinner.
But can this be more than a one-night stand?

Excerpt:

Nigel's dick was so hard it was almost bursting out of his uniform pants. If he didn't get them off soon they'd be pushed out of shape and unwearable for the concert. He and Matthew were still holding hands, so he turned in toward the man after whom he lusted, and pulled gently on Matthew's hand. "I want you so bad," he whispered.
"I think I've wanted you ever since I first saw you. You are so muscular and strong. I need to see you out of that stupid uniform."
"Let me undress you first," begged Nigel.
He slid his hand out of Matthew's, and reached for the necktie, which Matthew had loosened in the car on the ride home. Nigel wiggled the knot a little more, and pulled the short end free, unraveling the half-Windsor. He dropped the necktie onto the dresser and ran his hands over Matthew's chest. "Mmm," he hummed a he slid buttons free one by one.
Nigel's cock was bursting, but he held onto his control with an iron will. He wanted this first time to be good. The tent in the front of Matthew's pants showed he was ready, too. Still, restraining himself, forcing himself to go slowly, Nigel slid the last button in Matthew's shirt free, then ran his hands over Matthew's delicious chest, tweaking the pink nipples as he passed. "Damn, you're sexy," he muttered as he pushed the shirt sleeves down Matthew's arms. Matthew shrugged the shirt off.
Nigel ran his hands down to Matthew's belt and unbuckled it, then unsnapped the catch on Matthew's pants before sliding the zipper down slowly and carefully. Matthew's erection was huge and Nigel didn't want to risk damaging that delicious, big cock. He wanted Matthew's cock inside him, pounding away, not with zipper scratches on it!

"The Vicar’s Virgin" Holiday Excerpt WARNING!! PG13

Barnabas tapped lightly on the connecting door and stepped into her bedroom. She was on her hands and knees, her lush, rounded ass high in the air as she reached under the bed for something. He’d never really looked at her ass before. By day it was covered in layers of skirts and petticoats. By night he had previously been more interested in her breasts, but now he couldn’t drag his gaze off it. The globes of her ass were every bit as enticing as the globes of her breasts. They gleamed palely through the soft blue of her bed gown, calling to him. His dick hardened painfully, pressing against his breeches and begging him to reconsider his decision about not bedding her this night.
He hardened his heart. She needed his instructions on how to behave. “Mrs. Ridley,” he said firmly.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” She backed out from under the bed, holding her hairbrush in one hand. “I dropped it and it bounced under the bed,” she explained unnecessarily.
She stood up, her face delightfully pink, the bed gown as sheer and clinging as the previous two he’d seen. He had to force himself to concentrate on his task instead of looking at her breasts. Or mourning the fact he wasn’t going to hold her warm, voluptuous body in his arms tonight. He really wanted to see that ass naked.
“I wanted to talk to you about bringing the people into the house for the decorating today.”
“Bringing them into the house?” She looked adorably confused. And totally delicious. He couldn’t wait to taste her breasts, to sink his dick deep— No. Not tonight.
“Filling my house with noise and dirt and strangers—”
“Well, yes it was rather noisy, but I can assure you the dirt has all be cleaned up, and there were no strangers, only your parishioners and a few of their friends. Everyone worked so hard, even the children. All the paper flowers and paper chains are made, and they look so pretty. The house and the church are going to be positively stunning for Christmas. You will be proud of your people when you see it all finished. I promise.”
All his prepared phrases vanished from his head. She was so beautiful standing there, her big blue eyes fixed on his face, her body so close to his that her floral scent was almost overwhelming his good resolutions. His dick was so hard it was paining him. All he wanted to do was rip off that bed gown and sink his cock so deep inside her she screamed with joy.
He cleared his throat, and with his last clear thought said, “In future make them be more quiet. They were too noisy.” Then he gave in to his lust, pulled her gown off and pressed her naked body against his while he kissed her with more desire and passion than he’d ever felt before.

I will choose one commentor on this blog to pick any e-book from my backlist as their prize for visiting.

The Next Big Thing Blog chain

What is your title of your book?
“Werewolves Can’t Fly”

Where did the idea come from for the book?
I wrote a short story, “Flight to Joy” about a woman who could fly, and she formed a relationship with another man and a werewolf. But later I wondered what would happen next. Because werewolves can’t fly.

What genre does your book fall under?
Paranormal erotic romance.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?
Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law as the two men because the chemistry between them is excellent, and Winona Ryder for Mermae.

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?
How can a relationship between two people who can fly and a werewolf work, when werewolves can’t fly?

Is your book self-published or represented by an agency?
Published by an epress.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?
Maybe two weeks.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?
I’ve never heard of another book with a premise like mine, but I’ve written several other werewolf stories, “Dogged Pursuit”, and “Were the Hell”.

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
There are cameo appearances in the book by Dwyer and Nelson, the heroes of “Dogged Pursuit”.

Mermae joined Kade and Iain four months ago. Halloween is almost here and Iain, a werewolf, is desperate for them to commit to each other. But how can they keep their secrets in a city? And if they move how will they earn money and live?
Seeking help from mated werewolves Dwyer and Nelson, Iain gets permission to run on Halloween at their secure farm and use their hidden cabin. The mating is wonderful, but all their other problems remain unresolved. Is there a solution for them?

Are you feeling naughty?

"Naughty in Leather":  Blurb
A gang is shoplifting from the mall and this day they rob Rhonda’s store, Luxurious Leatherwork. When Scott and Ty come to the store and ask her out to dinner yet again, this time she says yes. She’s decided she wants to see if there’s potential for a three-way relationship. Dinner is wonderful, and sex with the two men even better.
A few days later the gang attacks the jeweler’s window with metal bars. Ty and Scott are terrified for Rhonda and determined to look after her. The men take her home and love her that night, wanting her to know how deeply they care for her.
Ty is offered a promotion at work, but it involves some travel and moving to a new apartment. He’s worried that it will ruin their new relationship, and the gang situation is still not solved.
Can a relationship such as theirs survive?

Story Excerpt

Rhonda turned to look at the doorway when all hell broke loose. A group of teenagers ran past her store into the heart of the mall, carrying what looked like metal bars or long wrenches. She grabbed her paintball and hurried to the doorway, glad for once that she had no customers in the shop. There was the sound of glass breaking, an alarm started to wail, and screams came from farther into the mall. Rhonda could see the kids had smashed the jeweler’s window and were grabbing stuff from the display.
She pulled the metal grill over her doorway and locked it, glad she always wore the key on a wristband while she was at work. Paintball in hand, she stood outside her store and watched. Sue the florist was taking photos, or maybe video, of the kids on her cell phone. Ted and one of the other security guards ran up, and pulled the boys away from the window. The kids lashed out with their weapons and one guard fell to the ground. Two customers joined in the affray, subduing one of the kids and taking his weapon from him.
Sue’s assistant hit another kid on the head with a bucket full of flowers and water. When he fell to the ground she sat on his back. The two kids Rhonda had first noticed turned to run. One was coming straight at her, so Rhonda threw the paintball at him, getting him in the center of the chest. It seemed to upset him and he slowed enough so that she could tackle him to the ground. Taking a lesson from Sue’s helper, she sat on his back, keeping him flat on the floor, even though he tried bouncing his back and butt to get her off.
Customers, the other security guard, and staff were chasing the few remaining teenagers, when the police arrived with sirens and guns. With the loud crack of a warning shot being fired, there was instant silence. Rhonda sat on the back of the kid, who was no longer trying to throw her off, until a police officer came to cuff him. Only then did she notice paramedics wheeling the elderly jeweler out on a gurney, and bandaging Ted’s head.
Rhonda glared at the kid. “If the jeweler dies you’ll be in jail for the rest of your life. I hope you think a few pieces of jewelry were worth it,” she said.

Three FOUR STAR Reviews!!

All three of my “Virgins No More” books have been reviewed over at You Gotta Read, and they all achieved four star reviews!!

Donna said, “knowing it was listed as an “erotic romance”, I expected somewhat slutty behavior, perhaps crass language or something of the sort. Instead, the very virginal bride becomes a very proper wife who just so happens to enjoy pleasing her husband. In bed and out. … I very much enjoyed this heartwarming (and erotic) love story.

Donna said, “Almost a Virgin is sweetly seductive and heart-warming. I was very pleased with the outcome of the book, and I think the author has done a great job reflecting the subservience of women of the period. They still end up getting their way, they just have to be delicate while doing it. A very entertaining read.”

Donna said, “I was thrilled to see Anne happily settled with a most deserving Simeon.
I love this series, and I would love to see the next instalment be a few years into the future with Miss Deborah as a debutante ready for her first Season. I’m sure she could hold her own with any Major-General in England!”

Thank you Donna, and You Gotta Read.

"Resort Romance" OUT TODAY!

“Resort Romance” Blurb:

Imogen agrees to accompany Gage and Liam to a resort for a week’s vacation and some extra hot ménage sex. The gardens are beautiful, the meals are delicious and the facilities are excellent, especially the three swimming pools. The men are delicious too, but Gage is bossy and Imogen is not going to be anyone’s sex toy.
But the men are awfully yummy and Imogen is having a wonderful time. Until Gage makes a few autocratic decisions which remind Imogen of her manipulative father. Then Imogen has to decide whether the best orgasms of her life are worth risking potential heartbreak.

Story excerpt

“Wow, this place is huge. There are three swimming pools. Three! And one has a waterfall and a beach. And there are gardens and walks, a bridge over the water, and a cinema and a gym. Tennis courts. A golf course. We’re only here for a week. We won’t have time to try even half these things.”
Imogen’s hazel eyes were almost popping out of her head as she looked from the map of the resort to the various areas they were walking past.
Liam scowled. “It’s all very well for you two. I’m the fair-skinned one here. I’ll be burned to a crisp in five minutes in this sun.” He pulled his dark glasses down over his blue eyes and hunched his shoulders deeper inside his long-sleeved T-shirt.
“I brought sunblock—”
“So did we. Lots of sunblock. Waterproof sunblock. And hats.” Gage spoke firmly. “We’ll be sensible and only stay out for half an hour at a time.”
Imogen’s joy evaporated in an instant. God, he sounds just like my father. “No going near the water for an hour after eating. Keep your hat on at all times. No more than fifteen minutes in the sun. No talking to other children.” All I ever wanted to do was run and play on the water’s edge like the other kids!
“Imogen!”
With a start she came out of her reverie and looked at Gage and Liam. They had stopped in front of a cabin, the end one in a block of four, with huge bushes covered in vivid pink flowers out front of it.
“Aren’t they wonderful!” She waved at the flowers, but the men had already opened the door and were pulling their luggage inside.
Well, hell. It’s a good thing I decided to come away with them to test our compatibility. It looks like this relationship is not going to work, at least from my point of view. She sighed, then rolled her suitcase through the doorway behind them.

New Print book out now!

“Embrace the Future” is a print collection of my three stories in this series.

“Forbidden Future: Blurb:
More than fifty years ago, wicked winds, carrying deadly diseases, swept across the land, and their ancestors fled to a protected valley. But now the easy-to-gather food and fuel are used up, and the people struggle to feed themselves. The goods their ancestors had brought with them are worn out, and life is hard trying to feed and provide for themselves.
Zuri, Udo, and Tau love each other, but have to meet in the forest to make love. The people decide to go to the city to look for food and fuel. It’s Zuri who finds the ancestors’ truck and asks for a gift in return—that she, Tau, and Udo could be together. Their request is granted. Then everyone plans for the trip to the city. It’ll be very dangerous, but the three of them will be together. But will they find any food? Will they even survive?

“Future Revealed” blurb:
Ruby, Pagan, and Koby are lonely, missing the community they left and the friendship of the people from the valley. As they collect supplies for winter, they decide to get extra and visit the valley, taking them some food and maybe animals to help them.
But first they have to hide from a group of motorcyclists looking to raid settlements for food and women. The trio’s next stop is an abandoned farm, where they find some useful things, including some animals and a truck to transport them back to their warehouse home.
They stay in the warehouse during winter, but once the weather becomes warm again they finish planning their trip to the village, adding a high-sided utility trailer to their vehicles to transport fuel for the people.
Danger is everywhere in this lawless world with food so scarce. Will they even survive the journey?

“Raw Future” blurb:
Adena is determined to marry both Arthur and Ghedi. Not because Arthur will be leader one day, and he and Ghedi are friends with benefits, but because they’re the only men she could ever love. She’s also determined to go on a journey and find more food for their village. Arthur and Ghedi are hot to marry Adena, but agreeing to her going on the journey with them takes them longer to accept.
With Koby, Pagan, and Ruby, plus Zuri, Tau, and Udo, they set off to find where the food manufacturing site is to provide for their village. They circumnavigate the city but find no fresh food stocks.
Then they’re captured by the Prince of the South and his people. Left with almost no food, they have to decide whether to attempt to go home, or to remain with the prince. Oh, and stay alive, too.

Spooky suggestions for Halloween

After two hundred years as a werewolf, Dwyer is sure of one thing: gay were don't have mates. That bond is for male-female pairs alone. So when the scent of Nelson starts to drive Dwyer crazy, he's sure that the whisper of "mate" in his mind is just an unfortunate side effect cause by Halloween and the full moon. Besides, Nelson is all too human.

Nevertheless, Halloween night finds them taking a romantic stroll together. When an impulsive moment reveals Dwyer's true nature to Nelson, will their fledgling bond be snapped?

Nurzhan and Spyridion are ghosts. The only night they can become corporeal is All Hallow’s Eve, when they should be busy haunting. Hopefully, there will be some time for fun, as well. They’re determined to get to know each other much better on this one special night. But how can they live a whole year without touching each other again?

Septimus travels as an envoy across the land, seeking answers as to why his pack has had almost no female births in thirty years. The long, frustrating search pays off in a totally unexpected way when Septimus walks into a meeting with another pack and smells his mate.

Dai has given up on finding another gay shifter to be his life partner. The fierce lust and unexpected joy are intoxicating, but there's still a mystery to solve. What does old Richenda know? Could a wizard be involved? And even though duty calls, can a Samhain mating ritual somehow fit into the timetable?

Why vampires and do they have to be naked?
By
Tracey H. Kitts

A lot of people (relatives in particular) have asked me why I write so much about vampires. I write werewolves too, but vamps seem to draw the most attention. At least, it gets the most questions. The truth is, I write what I like. When I was in school I read every book that had anything to do with vampires. Anything I could get my hands on that had vampires in it, I read it so thoroughly it could be considered studying. I also wrote a few short and semi-erotic stories about werewolves just for fun. Of course, they weren’t up to par with what is considered erotica now, but it was pretty sexy to me and my friends.
I always knew that I wanted to write professionally some day. It wasn’t something that just came to me out of the blue or something I did on a whim. Everything I have ever done in my life I have viewed as “good writing material.” I knew that each experience, whether it was a job or a relationship that went wrong, would somehow end up in my books. In the case of bad relationships, it could be considered therapy. Ha. Ha. Of course, names have been changed to protect the guilty, but there are a few of those along the way.
Since I always knew I wanted to write and I have always been drawn to vampires, it seemed only logical to me that’s what I’d write about. The other question I get even more often than, “Why vampires?” is “Why sex?”
The short answer: Why not?
Now, for something more in depth:  I love science fiction, but find it grossly lacking in sex. Ha. Seriously, I enjoy a good story but what I also enjoy is a good romance. I used to read the really old romances, the ones you could find at garage sales and such. So, they were really outdated and for my tastes, too … sweet. I wanted a heroine who could kick ass and take names. I wanted someone I could identify with. Someone who wasn’t “pure as the driven snow,” and all that crap. I wanted someone real.
Of course, I also wanted a hero who was sexy beyond imagination. I don’t want the guy next door. Let’s face it, unless Hugh Jackman lives next door, none of us are really interested in normal guys, are we?
I also have a deep love of fantasy. So, you take all that, mix it together (shaken, not stirred) and you get paranormal romance. Paranormal romance is really an adventure for women. We just happen to find romance to be part of the adventure.
I write what I like to read. Why would I try to sell something to someone if I didn’t even like it myself? That’s ridiculous. I love vampires and if we get them alone in the story, someone better tell me what they look like naked! I don’t know about you, but I’d feel cheated otherwise. Of course, I’m okay with waiting for such a moment (like in the case of a series, which I enjoy writing). But once we get there, I want details. Ha. Ha.
The last and probably best answer I could give is this: Writing is wish fulfillment and so is reading. Who hasn’t fantasized about living forever with some gorgeous hunk? Tall, dark and immortal sounds pretty darn good to me. To never grow old, never get sick and die. And let us not forget, eternal love. I think these are all pretty strong fantasies that most people can identify with, even if they don’t get into the whole, “Bite me,” thing.
Unfortunately, in the area where I live most people just see it as macabre. For the rest of the fang baitout there (like myself), please check out my latest release. LOL For everyone else, I do hope we can move beyond that some day.
My latest release is Bitten and it’s available at Amazon.
